Collagen

Collagen is a natural protein that provides structure and support. It is found throughout the body - in muscle, skin, tendon and bone. Fibres of collagen are woven together like threads in a fabric, to form a framework into which new cells can grow. In the skin, collagen provides texture, stability and shape.
Intraderm uses Zyderm and Zyplast collagen. (We insist on a skin test 4 weeks prior to treatment to ensure that it is suitable for each individual.) This is made of bovine collagen derived from cow skin. It is highly purified and is so similar to your own collagen that it is accepted by your body and becomes an integral part of your skin.
Injectable collagen was first used to treat patients in 1976. It is now used in 20 different countries.
Collagen can be used to treat frown lines, crow's feet, lip lines, naso-labial lines and scars. Lip enhancements are soft and natural.
Collagen will last for about 3 months before it starts to gradually wear away. Top up treatments will maintain the correction
